NOISE MONITORING

Conversion Technology Inc. (CTI) conducts noise level monitoring at facilities to document compliance with 29 CFR 1910.95 "Occupational Noise Exposure" or define steps necessary to achieve compliance. Noise level monitoring is conducted to determine areas with a potential 8-hour Time Weight Average (TWA8) exposure greater than 85 dBA. Areas identified as having a potential TWA8 greater than 85 dBA are evaluated using a noise dosimeter to determine the TWA8 value.
CTI also conducts outdoor noise level monitoring to determine compliance with local noise ordinances as well as for noise impact assessments and mitigation studies. Typical outdoor noise level monitoring includes conducting noise level surveys around the site boundary and at client specified locations with documentation on tonal and impulsive sounds, when present.
