Energy Conservation and Alternative Energy

Every industry today faces the great challenge of meeting increasing environmental and energy demands in the midst of a struggling economy. In addition to the bottom line figures, current trends indicate growing concerns about “going green,” cutting energy costs, making facility production and processes sustainable, and reducing the “carbon footprint” left by a facility on the environment. The needs and pressures of these issues are becoming progressively more difficult to ignore as these matters resonate beyond the realm of industry itself. Mainstream media, the political arena, and a greater social conscience all express a growing interest in efficient sustainable-energy industries and the considerable impact that our industrial processes have on the world around us.

Navigating through the pressures of these “buzz” issues can be overwhelming for a facility. Conversion Technology, Inc. (CTI) was founded in 1986 with the vision of working with industrial facilities to achieve energy-saving solutions to issues such as these. In fact, the firm itself was named to reflect this focal point, with expertise in designing innovative systems for the conversion of waste into energy at facilities. Our objective is to assist facilities in significantly saving on energy costs while diminishing their impact on the environment, reducing their liability, and streamlining energy consumption.

CTI’s engineers have significant experience, both domestically and internationally, in studying and designing systems for improving energy efficiency, particularly through the conversion of waste into energy, performing energy conservation audits, and creating systems to substantially reduce energy consumption through facility process analysis.

Especially in the current economic climate, the benefits of an energy conservation audit are striking, with a proven track record of cutting energy consumption without affecting production, leading to high cost savings. In fact, an energy conservation audit and any process changes implemented typically pay for themselves within a year or two due to the energy savings incurred, and can significantly increase a plant’s profit margin.
